Adiabatic testing
Thermal Hazard Technology offer a full range of adiabatic testing using the Accelerating Rate Calorimeter together with specialised options.

Battery testing
THT battery testing services including abuse and electro-thermal dynamics can be conducted in the Accelerating Rate Calorimeter or EV-ARC.

Screening
The development of the RSD™ allows quick and accurate screening to determine potential thermal hazards in a cost-efficient manner.

Vent-Sizing
Using specialised Accelerating Rate Calorimetry options allows THT to offer vent-size determination in line with the current DIERS methodology.

Thermal Hazard Technology can now offer reaction calorimetry services using both the macro and micro reaction calorimeters.  Offering a range of different options and volumes this allows a unique combination of instruments to solve any reaction calorimetry problem.

Reaction calorimetry allows the simulation of plant sized reaction vessels in the laboratory on a litre scale. With scaled operations including dosing, stirring, heating, refluxing, distillation etc.. it is an ideal tool for both process development and scale-up.

Reaction calorimetry can provide a complete heat and mass balance over the entire process by quantifying the heat supplied or dissipated by the vessel. Reaction kinetics can be modeled from this data and risk assessments, cooling requirements etc. may all be determined from this relatively small sample size.

The heat capacity of the reaction mixture as well as parameters relating to heat loss through the outer vessel may also be determined and the system has an excellent reputation for process optimisation with regards to safety, quality and profitability.
